FG: The Rats in the Walls

Whilst the nation was gripped by some fever compelling them to watch some event, JP and I played three games, two of which wrapped up the “into the Breeding Pits” campaign.

Set up.

the dastardly opposition.

My brave war band move forward as the first rats appear.

Marvo II and a thug dealing with a rat.

Fortunately the enemy were also experiencing the same amount of rodents.

Another treasure gained, another rat disturbed, and splatted.

As were the opposition.

Individually not that dangerous, but in the numbers turning up it would only be a matter of time before they chewed down on an unfortunate explorer.

So I used this an opportunity to launch a speculative attack into the central chamber on the true enemy.

With unfortunate consequences.

But the rest of the fighting was hard.

And a bit of 2’x4″ to the head often hurst, as the enemy captain found out.

It’s a rat trap – a falling rat fell on my tunnel fighter and had to be dealt with. By this point I was quoting Boomtown Rats lyrics/song titles.

The game ended with even stevens on treasure, great fun lots of rats with Jon even nicking one of daughters’ toy mice to make sure we had enough models.
