Laserburn: Capture the weapons factory

The gangs have identified the location of a weapons factory, whose owner has recently and most mysteriously died. Both want a slice of the profits and access to its stock, before the authorities move in and seize it.

Table set up & Deployment

Place a suitable large building in the centre of the table, this is the weapons factory.

Scatter more buildings on the table, along with urban clutter as you see fit. Players should alternate placing scenery.

Roll to choose which side to come on – highest chooses and must deploy up to 20cm in to the table. The other faction(s) then deploy in order.

Objectives and Victory Conditions

The primary objective is to capture the weapons factory by getting two or more models into it, and to hold it.

The secondary objective is to loot the weapons factory by getting two or models into it for a whole turn, and for them to get out of the building before the faction leaves the table/the game ends.

The tertiary objective is to destroy the factory to prevent the other faction(s) capturing it. Depending on the size of the building this can be achieved with rocket launchers, mini nukes or other appropriate heavy weapons as agreed before the game starts. You don’t need to level the building (or dust off and nuke it from orbit).

If one faction is left in control of the table, and has 2 models in the building it is the winner and captures the factory. It gains d3+1 x 1000 Credits worth of weapons that have an availability of 50% or more (as per page 26 of the Laserburn Rulebook). Every surviving member of the faction gains 10 experience points (as per page 30 of the Laserburn Rulebook) with the leader gaining an additional 10 experience points. All other experience point gains are also allowed.

If the factory is looted the faction that does so gains d10 x 100 Credits worth of weapons that have 100% availability (as per page 26 of the Laserburn Rulebook). Every surviving member who looted the factory gains 10 experience points (as per page 30 of the Laserburn Rulebook), as does the faction Leader. All other experience point gains are also allowed.

If the factory is destroyed…game over…The model(s) who fired the shot(s) gain 5 experience points, the faction Leader gains 10 points. All other experience point gains are also allowed.

If the factory is not captured, looted or destroyed and the game ends as everyone bugs out, no one has succeeded in the mission nor out thought the enemy. Only experience points for killing, capturing, wounding and KO’ing enemies can be gained
